Bridgewater, MA – Callahan completed the Market Basket in New Bedford, MA. A Grand Opening celebration was held on October 6, 2010. Several city officials including Mayor Lang and representatives from numerous state offices were in attendance.
The project consisted of new construction of a 97,000 SF facility. The building is located at the
former Fairhaven Mills site off Coggeshall Street in New Bedford, MA.
The project, completed in 9 months, included the completion of a coffee bar, sushi center, deli, meat and fish counters, and a full service bakery. The shell of the building included the use of reclaimed granite from the former mill, and a brick façade designed to match surrounding buildings from the same period.
