Concord, NH – Brookstone Builders, Inc.of Manchester recently completed a renovation project for the State of New Hampshire’s Bureau of Public Works.
The project involves the dismantling and replacement of 170 feet of the State Prison’s perimeter wall on North State Street in Concord. The new and improved section is part of the facility’s original construction, dating back to the late 1800’s..
Improvements included a new foundation and wall, along with the installation of a 20 x 16-foot multi-level guard tower that is equipped with state-of-the-art mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems for enhanced security and surveillance. Prior to the demolition, a temporary double-layered fence was installed to ensure safety and security during construction. Wherever possible, the bricks and granite removed from the old structure were salvaged for future use.
