Manchester, NH – Brookstone Builders, Inc. recently announced that they have completed a renovation project for the State of New Hampshire’s Bureau
of Public Works.
The project involves the dismantling and replacement of 170 feet of the State Prison’s perimeter wall on North State Street in Concord. The new and improved section is part of the facility’s original construction, dating back to the late eighteen-hundreds.
Improvements included a new foundation and wall, along with the installation of a twenty-foot by sixteen-foot multi-level guard tower that is equipped with state-of-the-art mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems for enhanced security and surveillance. Prior to the demolition, a temporary double-layered fence was installed to ensure safety and security during construction. Wherever possible, the bricks and granite removed from the old structure were salvaged for future use.
“Brookstone Builders has enjoyed a healthy business relationship with the State of NH for a number of years,” said Paula Scales, company President. “We have completed a wide range of renovation projects as well as larger-scale new construction initiatives, and look forward to all future possibilities.”
