Brookstone Builders Awarded SCS Project

Manchester, NH – Brookstone Builders recently announced that they have been awarded a new construction project by Southwestern Community Services of Keene, New Hampshire.

Manchester, NH – Brookstone Builders recently announced that they have been awarded a new construction project by Southwestern Community Services of Keene, New Hampshire.

The scope-of-work will involve the construction of “The Second Chance for Success,” which will be an 8,400 square-foot transitional housing facility located on 6 acres of land off Route 101, adjacent to the Cheshire County jail. The wood-framed structure will be built on an aggregate pier foundation, and will consist of six fully-outfitted apartments, office space, and meeting rooms.

Southwestern Community Services is a Keene-based community services organization that has provided senior and affordable housing in the area. The project is being financed by the New Hampshire Housing Authority. Groundbreaking took place on August 8, 2012.

Dave Giovagnoli of Brookstone Builders is the Project Manager, and George Hickey Architects of Sanbornton are the project’s Architects. A woman-owned enterprise, Brookstone Builders, Inc. was founded in 1984. The company provides commercial, industrial, and design-build solutions throughout northern New England, and has also been involved in a wide range of specialty and renovation projects.
