The biennial PRISM (Prestigious Results in Sales and Marketing) Awards recognize the building and design achievements of builders, developers, project owners, architects, land planners, marketing/advertising firms, interior design firms, remodelers, and other professionals in the home building industry. Two projects were selected as winners in each category and were judged for their exceptional craftsmanship, functionality and design appeal.

The evening commenced with a cocktail reception featuring samplings from four distinguished area-based chefs: Paul Wahlberg of Alma Nove, Hingham; Jeremy Sewall of the Island Creek Oyster Bar, Boston; Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks, Boston; Greg Weinstock of Salvatore’s Restaurant, Boston; and Eddie Payne of Tuscan Kitchen, Salem, N.H. Live entertainment was provided by the Dave Macklin Band, a premier live dance band of New England.

Following the cocktail reception and chef tastings, the awards ceremony was emceed by Gerry-Lynn Darcy, CEO of BRAGB, and Tommy MacDonald, host of “Rough Cut – Woodworking with Tommy Mac.”

“We were very pleased with the outcome of last night’s Awards Gala,” commented Darcy. “The event was an excellent way to highlight the outstanding work accomplished within the past year. It also provided the opportunity for professionals from all sectors of the industry to network, celebrate, and enjoy the variety of different tastes of Boston.”

Following the presentation of awards, the guests were invited to celebrate the winners with dessert and dancing. In addition to the donation of ticket sales to Housing Families Inc., BRAGB also supported the organization with a raffle featuring a furniture piece by MacDonald. All funds raised by the raffle directly supported HFI and their mission to end family homelessness by providing safe temporary shelter and quality affordable housing to the homeless. Housing Families was presented with a $2,500 donation from Lowe’s Home Improvement, following an initial $2,500 donation at the 2013 PRISM Awards Gala Kickoff Cruise on October 3, 2013.
