Boston – On October 28th, Boston University, BOND (construction), and Bruner Cott (architect) were joined by Mayor Menino to celebrate the “topping-off” of Boston University’s East Campus Student Services Center at 100 Baystate Road.
Upon completion, the 122,000sf structure will house state of the art dining services and a new home for career services and the educational resource center. Construction of the estimated $50 million student services center is currently two weeks ahead of schedule and plans to open in June of 2012.
The center’s first two floors will be dedicated to dining facilities and the upper four floors will house offices for student services.
Six academic service centers will be relocated into the new facility including: the writing center, academic advising center and professional advising office, office of student programs and leadership, educational resource center and the office of career services.
