Architects (OLD&D) is pleased to announce that Steven Scapicchio, AIA, LEEDAP, has joined
the firm’s architectural staff. ‘We are thrilled to have Steve be part of our design team,” stated
Principal Architect Chris Doktor. “He brings to OLD&D over 20 years of experience and a great
wealth of skill, talent, and architectural expertise in the residential, educational, and institutional
market sectors which greatly supplements the firm’s design philosophy and portfolio. Steve is a
great addition to OLD&D.”
Prior to joining the OLD&D, Mr. Scapicchio was Senior Design Architect at Alexander Coogan
Architect, Inc. since 1999. His architectural tenure includes working at other firms such as
Architectural Resources Cambridge, Inc. (ARC) in Cambridge, MA, and IN/EX Design Group
in Melrose, MA. He received joint Bachelors degrees in Architecture and Fine Arts from the
Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Mr. Scapicchio holds a Master of Architecture in Urban
Design from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. While at Harvard, he received
the Gerald M. McCue Medal. He lives in Melrose, MA.
Mr. Scapicchio is also a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited
Professional and joins OLD&D’s Sustainable Design team providing creative and conscientious
sustainable design solutions.
