Boston – The Massachusetts Assisted living Facilities Association (Mass.ALPHA) 2014 Excellence Awards Dinner, with a Paris in Springtime theme, will take place on May 12, 2014. This dinner is to honor those who make substantial contributions, directly or indirectly, towards improving the lives of seniors in assisted living. It is also our largest event of the year, with approximately 600 attendees. It’s a great chance to network, catch up with old friends and have fun. Everyone is welcome:
Kim Carrigan will emcee for the evening. Kim Carrigan is an award-winning TV and radio host, high profile spokesperson and successful media consultant. She is particularly skilled in leading highly-visible initiatives and has a well-deserved reputation for inspiring people and advocating for meaningful causes. Kim currently co-hosts The Financial Exchange, a business news talk show aired from 10am-Noon E/T throughout New England in WRKO AM 680.
The evening will also feature French Mime, Chris Yerlig. Yerig is a native of the UK, and began his mime career on the streets of France. Since then his work has taken his show all over the world often volunteering his time to entertain people in the poorer parts of the world. Last year he performed and led workshops in India with ‘Magicians Without Borders’, and in Bangladesh on behalf of ‘Project Troubador’. He is a regular visitor to Haiti where, as well as performing and teaching, he is on the board of a non-profit that supports and orphanage in Port-au-Prince. Although you won’t hear him speak in costume, he speaks fluent French; if you speak to him he’ll understand.
