Manchester, NH – The NH ASCE’s Outstanding Civil Engineering Award (OCEA) was presented to Allen & Major Associates, Inc. for its commercial development design of the new 3,235sf Enterprise Bank located on Bridge Street in Pelham, NH. The project which totals 43,000sf of impact area was developed within an 89,000sf lot along Beaver Brook overlapping three resource areas; FEMA’s 100 year floodplain, NH Shoreland Protection limits, as well as the local Wetland Conservation District.
The project was chosen as the winner among a panel of judges for the design team’s demonstration of excellence in the design process, in its cooperation with interested parties, and in its overall presentation. A site walk was held prior to the award presentation with the design team from A&M, members of the NH ASCE, representatives of the bank and Pelham town representatives to see firsthand the design challenges that were faced during the project’s development, and the subsequent solutions to the design and permitting challenges.
