Wellesley, MA – AGC is pleased to announce that Lisa Wexler, president of Elaine Construction Company, Newton, MA, will lead the chapter as Chair of the Board of Directors for the 2011-12 Association Year. Ms. Wexler has been involved in the AGC for a number of years and will be working with the officers and directors toward developing creative programs and innovative solutions to strengthen the Association and the industry as a whole.
The construction industry is going through some difficult times but it is also an opportunity to open new vistas with technology and processes that will make us all more productive and efficient. By engaging the Board in more collaborative efforts with allied associations, Ms. Wexler believes it will strengthen our industry and add value to our members.
Ms. Wexler is the third generation of the Wexler family responsible for the stewardship of Elaine Construction. In recent years, she has been recognized by Enterprising Women’s Magazine as Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008; New England Women Business Owners Entrepreneur of the Year in 2009; and the same year was honored by Northeastern University Center for Family Business with the Marshall Paisner Award.
