Centerville, MA – As high performance building (HPB) gains momentum in commercial, residential, government and institutional sectors

Centerville, MA – As high performance building (HPB) gains momentum in commercial, residential, government and institutional sectors there is an increasing demand by industry professionals for the latest HPB information and technology. The National High Performance Building Conference (NHPB) answers the demand in Washington, D.C. December 5-9, 2011 as part of Ecobuild® America. In its third year, the highly successful NHPB Conference is sponsored and produced by AEC Science & Technology ®.

“High performance building is constantly evolving,” says George Borkovich, Ecobuild Principal. “Roofing systems. Lighting control software. Net-zero energy buildings. Architects, engineers, and contractors scrutinize every facet of the industry in search of what’s new today and what’s on the horizon for tomorrow.”

The need for the newest and latest information on green products and technologies extends to federal agencies that are directed under Executive Order 13514 to support the growth of a 21st century clean energy economy.

“Locating the National High Performance Building Conference in Washington, D.C. has always been a priority for AEC,” says Richard C. Vendola, Jr, Ecobuild Principal. “Under EO 13514 every federal agency must meet aggressive energy, water and waste reduction targets. They are tasked with reducing their greenhouse gas pollution and leverage Federal purchasing power to curb waste and save taxpayers’ dollars. AEC works diligently to bring the newest products and technology to their front door.”
