Norwell, Mass – Acella Construction Corporation recently announced today that Marcilio Silva of Westport, MA has joined the firm as a Project Superintendent.
In this role, Silva supervises site crews, schedule inspections, manages weekly schedules and deadlines, enforces OSHA safety regulations and coordinates all trades to complete projects efficiently.
Silva was introduced to the construction industry at a young age, working with his father, the owner of a multi-specialty construction company in his hometown of Sao Miguel in the Azores. He has been involved in the construction industry professionally since the year 2000, when he started his own small residential general contracting business. More recently, Silva was employed by D. F. Pray General Contractors as a Project Superintendent.
Silva has attended several Civil Engineering college courses and plans to obtain a degree in Construction Management in the future. He maintains Construction Supervisor and Home Improvement licenses and is certified in Lead, OSHA, First Aid, CPR and AED. He is also certified as a Construction Forklift Operator
Originally from the town of Bretanha in the island of Sao Miguel, Silva presently lives in Westport, MA. He is a member of the Building Trades Association and has participated in volunteer efforts to benefit and honor his home town. In his spare time Silva enjoys Portuguese soccer, motorcycles, fishing, woodworking and the outdoors. He is engaged to be married in the summer of 2015.
