Acella Breaks Ground on Fitness Center – Ai3 Architect

Brockton, MA – Cardinal Spellman High School, which serves students from 40 different communities, broke ground recently for its new fitness center, that will be the first new building at the regional Catholic High School in more than 50 years.

The 5,000sf center is set to open in 2011.

“We’re honored to be working with Cardinal Spellman President Dr. John McEwan and his team on this project,” said David Dirubbo, president of Acella Construction.

The $1.4 million fitness center will also include a new weight room, offices for the athletic department, a trainer’s room and a home for the school’s athletic Hall of Fame.

The facility will be open for use by students, staff and faculty.

The architect for the project is Ai3 of Wayland.
