Norwood, MA – Coming May 18 the ACEC/MA Breakfast Program will present Sustainability Rating for Civil Infrastructure Projects at the Four Points by Sheraton Norwood.
The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), jointly with the American Public Works Association (APWA), have formed the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) to administrate a new and exciting program — the infrastructure rating system. This effort provides for infrastructure what the LEED rating system has provided to buildings, in verifying that civil engineering projects are rated as sustainable. This program just finished a phase of piloting and will be soon available publicly.
The ACEC breakfast will be an informative and timely discussion of this rating system from the perspective of its creators, owners, consultants and administrators (the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure).
Featuring:
Jeffrey L. Beard, ACEC National Vice President, Director of Institute for Business Management
Vicki Quiram, Director of Public Works, Town of Westwood, and ISI Founding Board of Director
Joanne Massaro, Public Works Commissioner, City of Boston
The program will start with a 7:30 AM Registration & Hot Buffet Breakfast followed by 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Program.
Discounts are availsble for registering by Friday, May 13, 2011.
